King Baldrek Ledgerbeard has finally read his account books, and he does not like what he sees. As his manager, you build villages in two worlds: Skyside, under the open sky, and the Hold, deep inside the mountain. No dwarf walks between them; only the hoist you build carries goods and settlers across.
- Plan, then build. Trade offers, resources and distances are visible from the start.
- Every dwarf has a name. A small village where you always see who is doing what.
- Trade to grow. Gold comes only from trade with dwarves and the humans of Tallmarch.
- A scripted campaign. The King's demands, festivals and floods, the same on every retry.
